Prior to founding Leitner Varughese Law, Mr. Varughese was a senior trial attorney at a national law firm. Prior to his success at this national law firm, Mr. Varughese spent seven years at a high volume plaintiff’s law firm where he obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients in a vast array of general case types.
Mr. Varughese is routinely called upon to handle high-profile and newsworthy cases, many of which have been televised or reported on in national and regional news and media outlets, including, the New York Post, New York Times, Channel 7 Eyewitness News, CBS News, Newsday, and Newsweek, amongst others.
Mr. Varughese obtained his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he received a full scholarship and was a member of the Moot Court. He obtained a double B.A. from the University of Maryland in Government & Politics and Criminal Justice
When not in the courtroom, Mr. Varughese enjoys playing the drums and spending time with his family. Mr. Varughese is a dedicated leader and serves his community in many different roles, including as President of the Commack School District Board of Education, one of the largest and highest-rated school districts in New York, and a Teaching Pastor at his church.
